Monastyrishchensky plant of boiler equipment "Energometmash" offers a shell-and-tube water-to-water heat exchanger of the "PV1 159x2" series of its own production, which is designed for heating and hot water supply systems, in which the heat carrier is hot water received from boiler houses or coming from thermal mains of thermal power plants.

"PV" heaters can also be used in other schemes in which heating or cooling of liquid is required (for example, as condensate coolers for steam-water heaters). At the same time, the parameters of the heat exchange media should not exceed those values that are regulated for the conditions for the use of these heaters in heat supply systems.

An example of a symbol for a water-water sectional heater of five blocks-sections PV1 with an outer diameter of the sections' bodies of 159 mm, with a length of the sections' blocks of 2 m, for a conditional pressure of 1.0 MPa: PV1 159x2–G–1.0. Pipe systems can be made from smooth or profiled brass tubes. At the request of the customer, it is possible to manufacture bodies and pipe systems of heaters from special steels and alloys.

Device and principle of operation

Sectional heaters (hereinafter referred to as "heaters") consist of shell-and-tube sections connected into blocks of a given heat output using connecting cables. To connect to the network water pipelines, adapter pipes are installed between the heater bodies and pipelines. Each section is a non-separable block consisting of a body, tube sheets, tubes of the heat exchange surface. The bodies of the heater sections are made of steel pipes and are interconnected by fittings.

The detachable design of the sections allows organizing the production, transportation and assembly on site of blocks with a different number of the same type of sections, depending on the purpose, temperature regime, heat exchange area, etc. In heaters, the water intended for heating moves through the pipes of the pipe system, and the heating water moves in the annular space in compliance with the counterflow principle.

The warranty period of operation is 12 months from the moment the heater is put into operation, but not more than 18 months from the date of shipment to the consumer.
